My parents started Lucky Star Cleaners in 1986. I remember sitting under racks of shirts, reading numbers from paper tags to my mom. She would find the right hanger and pin a new tag on each shirt. I wasn’t allowed to touch the clean shirts. I guess she didn’t want my dirty 6-year-old fingerprints on them.
I spent a lot of time there growing up. Watched my parent’s business
relocate twice because we outgrew the space. In 1999, we built a brand new,
state-of-the-art facility. Right after that, American Dry Cleaner Magazine
named Lucky Star “Dry Cleaner of The Year”
By the time I graduated from Sam Houston State in 04 it was like Mom
and Dad were adding another location and upgrading technology every
year.
I still live in Huntsville with my wife Cori, our sons Jace and Jax.
Jayce plays golf, and Jax is a soccer player, but we all like to hunt and fish.
They know the rules about dirty hands-on clean shirts now too.
In 2020, we opened Simple Cellular & Computer Services right
next door to Lucky Star, and recently started Squirrels Roofing with some
long-time friends.
Every business we’ve been a part of serves the Huntsville area, we love the community, and we‘re grateful to our customers for letting us be a part of it.
